Kolkata Metro Railway Hosts World Kidney Day Awareness Initiative
The Medical Department of Metro Railway in Kolkata commemorated World Kidney Day with a comprehensive awareness program held at Tapan Sinha Memorial Hospital on Thursday. This year's global theme, "Kidney Health for All," was prominently featured, emphasizing the critical need for preventive healthcare measures and the early identification of kidney-related conditions.

As part of the observance, an educational seminar was conducted to disseminate vital information about kidney health. Dr. A. K. Prasad, ACMS (H&FW), delivered an insightful presentation outlining the primary risk factors linked to kidney diseases. He identified several modifiable contributors, including:

- Hypertension and high blood pressure
- Tobacco use and smoking habits
