The inauguration ceremony took place on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, with UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria presiding over the event.

The hospital features the advanced ZEISS refractive suite, which includes cutting-edge technologies like SMILE Pro for minimally invasive laser vision correction and Presbyond for presbyopia management. The facility has been meticulously designed with patient comfort and safety in mind, incorporating barrier-free access, wide corridors, HEPA-filtered laminar-flow operating theatres, and dedicated on-site parking.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, GEI founder Dr. S.P.S. Grewal emphasized the institute's commitment to optimizing patient care.
