Vijayawada: In a tragic incident, a 25-year-old hostel warden died by suicide in the Labbipet area of Vijayawada on Monday, reportedly following emotional distress over a failed love relationship.
Incident Details
The deceased has been identified as K Satish Kumar, a native of Nandigama in NTR district. He was working as a warden at Lalith Boys Hostel located in Brindavan Colony. According to the Krishna Lanka police, Satish Kumar was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his room at the hostel around 1 am on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.
Discovery and Response
A co-worker from the same village noticed the incident and immediately alerted the deceased's father, Paramaiah, over the phone. On being alerted, family members rushed to the government hospital, where Satish Kumar was already shifted. Doctors declared him brought dead.
Police Investigation
The police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances leading to the suicide. Preliminary inquiries suggest that the warden was under emotional distress due to a failed love relationship. No suicide note was found at the scene.
