The Haryana Transport Department has announced free bus travel for NEET candidates who will appear for a re-examination on June 21. This decision follows a directive from the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister to the Transport Department, extending the free travel facility.
Details of the Free Travel Facility
The Director-General of Transport has instructed all drivers and conductors of Haryana Roadways to provide free travel to candidates upon presentation of their admit cards. On June 20, candidates can travel to their exam centers free of charge. On June 21, they can travel to and from the exam centers in ordinary buses.
Implementation and Record Keeping
Conductors will issue 'Zero Amount' tickets to these candidates, as per the instructions. All General Managers have been directed to maintain a proper record of the 'Zero Amount' tickets issued for these dates. The instructions also state that a sufficient number of buses shall be deployed based on load factor, demand, and necessity to ensure candidates face no difficulties due to lack of bus services.
