Wild Animal Invasion at Government Hospital ICU

A shocking security breach occurred at the government-run Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Medical College and Hospital in Dhanbad when a wild jackal entered the surgical intensive care unit of the emergency department. The incident, which took place on Tuesday morning, has raised serious concerns about the safety protocols at the 600-bed healthcare facility.

Morning Terror in Surgical ICU

The alarming episode unfolded during the early morning hours when most patients were asleep in their beds. According to hospital sources, a vigilant hospital employee first spotted the jackal moving through the emergency block toward the surgical ICU. The staff member immediately alerted the nursing team and instructed them to switch on the lights.

As soon as the ward lights illuminated the room, the jackal suddenly darted out from beneath a patient's bed and fled the area. Fortunately, the wild animal did not harm any patients, attendants, or hospital staff members during its unexpected visit to the critical care unit.

Security Failures Exposed

The incident has exposed significant lapses in the security arrangements at the major government hospital. Relatives of patients receiving treatment at the facility have come forward with additional concerns, alleging that stray dogs are frequently seen roaming the hospital premises without any intervention.

Many have questioned the vigilance and effectiveness of the security guards posted at the medical unit, wondering how a wild animal could penetrate such a sensitive area undetected.

Hospital superintendent Dr. Dinesh Gindoria acknowledged the seriousness of the situation. He confirmed that although home guards and police personnel remain deployed on the campus, the entry of a wild animal clearly reflects negligence in security protocols.

"The hospital administration will strengthen campus security to prevent such incidents in the future," Dr. Gindoria assured, addressing the concerns raised by the disturbing event.

The incident gained widespread attention after a video recording of the jackal in the hospital went viral on social media platforms on Wednesday, sparking public outrage and demands for immediate improvements in hospital security measures.
