In a significant boost to healthcare infrastructure in the state capital, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak inaugurated several new facilities at Lok Bandhu Hospital on Tuesday. The event marked the 15th foundation day of the hospital, with the launch of a crucial liquid oxygen plant, a new registration counter, and a Tele-ICU care service.
New Facilities for Enhanced Patient Care
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Pathak highlighted the importance of these additions. The newly installed liquid oxygen plant is expected to ensure a reliable, in-house supply of medical oxygen, a critical resource underscored by the challenges of the recent pandemic. The Tele-ICU service will allow for remote monitoring and expert consultation for critically ill patients, potentially improving outcomes through timely intervention.
Pathak also made a major announcement regarding future services. He confirmed that super-speciality heart treatment services would commence at the hospital in the near future. This development is poised to benefit patients from Lucknow and surrounding areas, reducing the need for travel to distant metro cities for advanced cardiac care.
Recognition for Staff and Statewide Health Milestones
The Deputy Chief Minister took a moment to commend the hospital's staff for their dedication, specifically referring to a fire incident earlier this year. He praised the doctors and staff for safely evacuating and caring for patients, calling it a demonstration of their commitment during emergencies.
Earlier in the programme, Hospital Director Dr. Sangeeta Gupta stated that the institution had received numerous awards due to the relentless efforts of its doctors, staff, and paramedical workers. She affirmed the hospital's continued mission to improve healthcare services for the community.
Uttar Pradesh's Healthcare Landscape in 2025
Pathak also provided an overview of the improved access to basic health services across Uttar Pradesh. He revealed that as of 2025, dialysis services are now operational in all 75 districts of the state. Furthermore, CT scan facilities are functioning in 74 districts, bringing advanced diagnostic capabilities closer to people's doorsteps.
Assuring continued government support, the Deputy CM emphasized the administration's focus on strengthening the public health system. The inauguration at Lok Bandhu Hospital stands as a testament to this ongoing effort, aiming to provide quality and accessible medical care to the residents of Lucknow and beyond.
