Health teams in Phagwara visited 12,710 houses and administered the Pulse Polio vaccine to 4,234 children on the second day of the ongoing immunisation campaign, according to officials.

Senior Medical Officer Dr Simardeep Kaur and Paediatrician Dr Naresh Kundra provided the update on June 30, 2026. They stated that the campaign is being carried out successfully with active participation from health workers who are conducting door-to-door visits to ensure every eligible child is vaccinated against polio.
Dr Kaur and Dr Kundra urged parents to cooperate fully with the health teams so that no child is left out of the immunisation drive. The door-to-door approach aims to reach children who may not otherwise have access to vaccination centres.
