KEA seeks Sports Department cooperation for quota admissions
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has reiterated that the state Sports Department has failed to provide the list of verified candidates eligible for seats under the Sports Quota. The KEA sent a fresh reminder to the department on Monday, June 29, 2026, marking yet another attempt to obtain the necessary data for the ongoing admission process.
Repeated pleas unanswered
According to officials, the Sports Department has not responded to multiple requests from the KEA to share the list of candidates who have been verified and are eligible to claim seats reserved under the Sports Quota. This delay is affecting the admission schedule for sports quota seats in various courses across the state.
Impact on students and admissions
The lack of cooperation from the Sports Department has created uncertainty among student athletes who have applied for seats under the quota.
