The postcard features a vibrant tricolour background, symbolizing the Indian flag, with the words "150 years of Vande Mataram – Republic Day 2026" embossed in Braille. This tactile element ensures that visually impaired individuals can also engage with the commemorative piece.
Adding to its uniqueness, the postcard includes a special cancellation mark with "India Post" in Braille, along with the date 26.01.26. This detail underscores the postal department's commitment to accessibility and innovation in its philatelic offerings.

The Republic Day celebrations at the post office began with the unfurling of the national flag by Postmaster General Devi, followed by a series of cultural programmes presented by staff members and their children.
Addressing the gathering, Devi highlighted the significance of Vande Mataram as a timeless mantra that has inspired swadeshi, self-reliance, and freedom in India's national consciousness. She emphasized how this postcard serves as a reminder of the song's enduring legacy and its role in fostering patriotism.
