Buxar District Administration Gears Up for Three Major Cultural Festivals
The district administration in Buxar is making comprehensive preparations for three significant cultural events scheduled for the coming months. These festivals aim to celebrate local heritage and artistic talent, with the Vishwamitra Festival set for February 21, the Brahmapur Festival on February 28, and the Bismillah Khan Festival on March 21.
Administrative Review and Directives
District Magistrate Sahila conducted a review meeting on Wednesday to assess the readiness for these events. During the session, she issued essential instructions to all concerned officials to ensure smooth execution. The meeting focused on logistical arrangements, artist participation, and public safety measures.
Artist Auditions and Participation Details
District Art and Culture Officer Ravi Bahadur announced that local artists will perform at each festival from 3 PM to 5 PM. To select performers, auditions will be held at the Amrapali Centre on February 16, 17, and 18. Interested participants must submit their applications to the district art and culture office by February 14.
Eligibility criteria for applicants include being at least 18 years old, possessing a valid residence certificate, and being registered on the official artist registration portal. This process aims to promote local talent and ensure high-quality performances.
Publicity and Infrastructure Arrangements
District Public Relations Officer Alok Vats has been tasked with publicizing the events through flex banners and newspapers in Buxar, Dumraon, and surrounding areas. The Nagar Parishad of Buxar is responsible for maintaining cleanliness at the Quila grounds and arranging mobile toilets to accommodate attendees.
Safety and Security Measures
To ensure public safety, the civil surgeon will deploy doctors, ambulance services, and first-aid facilities during the festivals. Additionally, the fire officer will arrange fire tenders and fire brigade services on-site. Law and order will be supervised by the sub-divisional officers of Buxar and Dumraon, who will oversee security arrangements throughout the events.
These festivals are expected to draw significant crowds, highlighting Buxar's rich cultural landscape and providing a platform for local artists to showcase their skills.
