Noida Flower Show Features Floral Kedarnath Temple Replica

Noida's Annual Flower Show Returns with Spectacular Floral Kedarnath Temple Replica

The Noida Authority is set to transform a section of Noida into a vibrant floral paradise for four days in February, with the 38th edition of its annual flower show scheduled from February 19 to 22 at Shivalik Park near Shilp Haat in Sector 33A. This year's event promises to be particularly spectacular, featuring a breathtaking 25-foot-high floral gate and a meticulously crafted temple-inspired installation at its center, designed to evoke the sacred Himalayan shrine of Kedarnath through thousands of fresh, colorful blooms.

Immersive Floral Landscape with Temple Theme

While the magnificent Kedarnath replica will serve as both the visual and thematic anchor of the exhibition, visitors will encounter an entire immersive landscape rather than a conventional flower display. The venue will be adorned with flower-crafted trishuls, elephants, and various everyday objects including drums, earthen pots, and even a piano, all created from fresh flowers. To ensure a diverse and vibrant display, flowers are being sourced from multiple regions including Bengaluru and West Bengal, providing a broad mix of varieties, textures, and colors that will captivate attendees.

Commercial Hub for Gardening Enthusiasts

At its commercial core, the exhibition will feature an impressive 90 stalls with participation from 38 nurseries across the region. Visitors will have the opportunity to browse and purchase a wide range of horticultural products including:

  • Fresh flowers and exotic plant varieties
  • High-quality seeds and planting materials
  • Organic manure and soil supplements
  • Gardening tools and equipment
  • Decorative planters and containers
  • Specialized nursery products

Officials have emphasized that the event aims to appeal not only to casual visitors seeking visual delight but also to serious home gardeners and horticulture enthusiasts looking to expand their collections and knowledge.

Extensive Institutional Participation and Cultural Programs

Several prominent public bodies and private institutions will mount their own floral displays, creating a diverse exhibition landscape. Participants include the Greater Noida Authority, Yamuna Authority, Northern Railways, the New Delhi Municipal Council, the Indian Army, Bharat Petroleum, LG, Adobe Systems, and Delhi Public School. Nearly 350 participants are expected to compete across multiple categories, adding a competitive edge to the floral extravaganza.

Cultural programs will run alongside the exhibition throughout the four days, featuring musical performances by the Delhi-based Sarvatra Band, dance presentations by local school students, and a special kavi sammelan (poetry gathering) featuring regional poets on the concluding evening, creating a complete cultural experience for visitors.

Logistical Preparations and Inauguration Details

Additional CEO Vandana Tripathi confirmed that preparations are well underway, with the event expected to draw thousands of visitors over its four-day run. The Noida Authority is projected to spend approximately Rs 2 crore on the show, with 60% of the funding coming from private firms through sponsorships and partnerships.

Comprehensive arrangements have been made to accommodate the expected crowds, including parking facilities for nearly 2,000 vehicles at Shilp Haat and nearby areas. Special provisions include golf carts for senior citizens and visitors with disabilities to ensure accessibility for all attendees. The event will be formally inaugurated by Gautam Buddh Nagar MP Mahesh Sharma and Noida MLA Pankaj Singh, marking the official opening of this floral celebration.

A dedicated food court will operate on-site throughout the event, offering refreshments and meals to visitors as they explore the floral displays and participate in the various activities. This combination of natural beauty, cultural programming, and practical amenities promises to make the 38th Noida Flower Show a memorable experience for residents and visitors alike.
