Visakhapatnam Family's Generous ₹70 Lakh Donation to TTD Annaprasadam Trust

In a significant act of devotion, a family from Visakhapatnam has made a substantial contribution to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Annaprasadam trust. Tripiraneni Venkata Rathnam and Madhuri, along with their sons Vijay and Vinay, donated ₹70 lakh to support the trust's noble mission of providing free meals to pilgrims.

Formal Handover at Tirumala Camp Office

The donation was formally presented on Sunday at the camp office of TTD additional executive officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary in Tirumala. The family was accompanied by ATTF trust board member G Bhanu Prakash Reddy during the meeting. The contribution was made in the form of a demand draft, symbolizing their commitment to the spiritual and charitable cause.

TTD's Extensive Annaprasadam Services

Venkaiah Chowdary expressed gratitude to the donor devotees and elaborated on the extensive reach of the Annaprasadam wing. This vital service provides free food to over 2.5 crore devotees who visit Tirumala annually from across the globe. The trust is continuously working to streamline and enhance these services, ensuring that pilgrims receive delicious and nutritious meals during their pilgrimage.

Upcoming Mega Kitchen Project

In a major development, Venkaiah Chowdary announced that TTD will soon establish a state-of-the-art mega kitchen at Tirumala. This ambitious project, with an estimated cost of ₹75 crore, will be supported by the Reliance Group. The new facility aims to further improve the efficiency and quality of food preparation, catering to the growing number of devotees.

The donation highlights the enduring tradition of philanthropy in Hindu culture, where devotees contribute to religious institutions to support community welfare. The Annaprasadam trust plays a crucial role in ensuring that no pilgrim goes hungry, embodying the principles of seva (selfless service) and dharma (duty).

This act of generosity underscores the deep spiritual connection many families maintain with Tirumala, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in India. It also reflects the ongoing efforts by TTD to modernize its infrastructure while preserving its sacred traditions.
