Vishaal Mohan Advocates for a Disciplined and Balanced Approach to Fitness
Actor Vishaal Mohan, who has been steadily building his film career, believes that fitness is less about fleeting trends and more about unwavering consistency, holistic balance, and strict discipline. In a detailed discussion about his lifestyle, he emphasizes that true wellness stems from sustainable habits rather than quick fixes.
A Structured Daily Routine Built on Fundamentals
Sharing his daily regimen, Vishaal Mohan says, “I prioritize sleep, aiming for 7 to 8 hours each night, and ensure I drink 2 to 3 litres of water daily to stay hydrated.” His commitment extends to physical activity, with around 2 hours dedicated to gym sessions. “I also incorporate walks during the week and practice breathing exercises while spending time in nature to maintain mental clarity,” he adds, highlighting the importance of a well-rounded approach.
Dietary Discipline with Room for Flexibility
His diet follows a similarly structured yet adaptable plan. “My day begins with black coffee and multivitamins to kickstart metabolism. I try to keep my daily calorie intake around 1500 to manage energy levels effectively,” he explains. However, Vishaal acknowledges the challenges of maintaining this routine during hectic shooting schedules. “When I’m working on set, sleep patterns and diet often get disrupted. To compensate, I rely more on fruits, vegetables, juices, and other liquids to sustain my energy throughout the day.”
When it comes to food preferences, he keeps things simple and satisfying. “I love hummus and chicken for their protein content. Dal khichdi and egg bhurji are comfort foods I can enjoy anytime,” he says. Importantly, he does not shy away from occasional indulgences, believing in moderation. “I firmly believe in cheat days to keep things balanced. I enjoy treats like ice cream, pani puri, sprout salad, and pav bhaji without guilt.”
Fitness Focus: Strength Training Over Cardio
In terms of exercise, Vishaal Mohan has a clear preference for strength training. “I enjoy weight lifting more than cardio because it builds endurance and muscle. Legs and shoulders are my favourite muscle groups to train, as they form the foundation of overall strength.” He concludes with a motivational note for fitness enthusiasts: “Stay disciplined, eat right, stay hydrated—and trust the process. Remember, nothing significant happens overnight; it’s the daily efforts that lead to lasting results.”
