BMW India Price Hike Up to 2% from April 2026

BMW Group India Announces Price Increase Across Model Range

Luxury automobile manufacturer BMW Group India has officially declared a price adjustment for its entire portfolio of vehicles, with the new pricing structure scheduled to take effect starting April 1, 2026. The company confirmed that both its premium BMW brand and the stylish MINI brand will experience price increments of up to 2 percent. This strategic move is positioned as a necessary step to address ongoing economic pressures while maintaining the brand's renowned standards.

Economic Factors Driving the Price Revision

The automaker has explicitly attributed this decision to a combination of escalating input costs that have significantly impacted operational expenses. Key factors include surging logistics charges, heightened material procurement costs, and the adverse effects of a depreciating Indian rupee against major global currencies. BMW Group India emphasized that this price revision is essential to sustain the exceptional level of quality, superior performance, and comprehensive customer service that patrons have come to expect from the brand.

Continued Financial Support for Customers

In a bid to cushion the impact of the price hike on potential buyers, BMW Group India highlighted that its dedicated financing division will persist in offering customized financial solutions. These supportive measures encompass flexible EMI payment plans, reduced interest rates on selected models, assured buy-back schemes, and multiple end-of-term options. This initiative aims to ensure that luxury vehicle ownership remains accessible despite the adjusted pricing.

Local Assembly and Imported Portfolio

BMW Group India currently manufactures several models domestically at its production facilities. The locally assembled lineup includes the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, the X1, X3, X5, and X7 SUVs, along with the all-electric iX1 Long Wheelbase variant. Complementing these are a range of imported models such as the i5, i7, and iX electric vehicles, the sporty Z4 M40i, and high-performance M series models including the M2 Coupe, M4 Competition, M5, and M8 Competition Coupe. The MINI brand offerings, such as the Cooper S, Countryman range, and Convertible, are also imported as completely built units.

Record Sales Performance in 2025

The announcement of the price increase follows an exceptionally successful fiscal year for the company. BMW Group India reported its highest-ever annual sales in 2025, achieving a milestone of 18,001 vehicles sold. This figure represents a robust 14 percent year-on-year growth, underscoring strong market demand. Electric models notably contributed to this success, with the BMW i7 and iX1 performing remarkably well. The iX1, in particular, emerged as the highest-selling premium electric vehicle in the Indian market, highlighting the growing consumer shift towards sustainable luxury mobility.
