The Iranian Embassy in India has publicly thanked the people of India for their overwhelming kindness and humanity in supporting Iran during a time of crisis. In a heartfelt message shared on social media, the embassy emphasized that these gestures of solidarity will never be forgotten.
Kashmir's Generous Contributions Highlighted
Specifically, the embassy highlighted the generous contributions from the Kashmir region, where locals have donated money, gold, silver, and jewellery to aid Iran in the wake of the Gulf War crisis. A stall was set up at Masjid Imam Zaman in Budgam with the sincere purpose of collecting these donations, as reported by ANI.
Mohsin Ali from Budgam explained, "At Masjid Imam Zaman, we have set up a stall with the sincere purpose of collecting donations. Our mothers and sisters are contributing jewellery, copper, and cash so that we can support Iran in its current situation." He added that since they cannot physically go to Iran, providing financial aid is their way of serving humanity.
Emotional Stories of Sacrifice and Solidarity

One notable example involved a woman from Kashmir who donated gold kept as a memento of her husband, who passed away 28 years ago. The embassy described this act as coming "with a heart full of love and solidarity for the people of Iran," noting that such pure emotions are a great source of comfort.
Additionally, the embassy mentioned that even Kashmiri children are offering their piggy banks as gifts to Iran, showcasing widespread compassion across all age groups.
