Bihar Exit Polls: Axis My India Reveals NDA's 45% Women Voter Edge
Bihar Exit Polls: NDA Leads with Women Voters

Exit polls conducted by Pradeep Gupta's Axis My India for the Bihar assembly elections have revealed fascinating insights into voter preferences across different demographics, showing a clear gender divide in political allegiance.

Key Findings from the Exit Poll

The survey, released on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, covered all 243 constituencies of the Bihar legislative assembly. It indicated that women voters showed a distinct preference for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) over the opposition Mahagathbandhan (MGB), which represents the INDIA bloc.

Among female voters, 45% supported NDA, while 40% favored MGB. Only 3% of women chose Prashant Kishore's Jan Suraaj party (JSP), with the remaining 12% opting for other candidates or parties.

Gender and Educational Divide in Voting Patterns

The polling data revealed an interesting contrast between male and female voting patterns. While women leaned toward NDA, male voters showed slightly different preferences with 41% supporting NDA and 42% backing MGB. The Jan Suraaj party garnered 5% of the male vote, with 12% choosing other options.

Educational background also appeared to influence voter behavior. The Mahagathbandhan emerged as the preferred choice for 41% of post-graduate voters, compared to 38% for NDA. Among graduate voters, Jan Suraaj managed to secure 10% support.

Occupation-Based Voting Trends

The exit poll analyzed voter preferences across ten occupational categories, revealing clear patterns based on employment status.

Unemployed voters and students significantly favored the Mahagathbandhan, with 49% of unemployed respondents (representing 7% of the sample base) choosing MGB. Only 34% of unemployed voters supported NDA, while 6% preferred JSP and 11% selected other parties.

In contrast, skilled professionals, small shop owners, housewives, private service employees, government servants, and other occupational groups showed stronger support for the NDA alliance. This occupational divide highlights how economic circumstances and employment status influenced voting decisions in the Bihar assembly elections.

The comprehensive survey provides crucial insights into the demographic factors that could determine the outcome of the closely watched Bihar elections, with women voters emerging as a significant constituency for the ruling NDA alliance.
