In a significant administrative event, Coimbatore district collector Pavankumar G Giriyappanavar and Coimbatore corporation commissioner M Sivaguru Prabakaran officially released the final electoral rolls at the district collectorate on Monday. The ceremony was attended by representatives from various political parties, marking a crucial step in the electoral preparation process.

Comprehensive Voter Demographics in Coimbatore

Coimbatore district now boasts a total of 26,96,813 registered voters, according to the latest data. This figure includes 13,00,889 male voters, 13,95,396 female voters, and 528 third gender voters. Notably, the district has 154 voters aged between 100 and 109 years, two voters aged between 110 and 119 years, and two voters above 120 years, highlighting a diverse age demographic.

Impact of Special Intensive Revision (SIR)

The Election Commission conducted a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) from November 4 to December 14, 2025, with the draft electoral roll released on December 19, 2025. Prior to the SIR, as of October 27, 2025, the district had 32,25,198 voters. Following the SIR implementation, the draft roll showed 25,74,608 voters, and the final count as of February 23, 2026, stands at 26,96,813 voters.

Nilgiris district collector Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru released the final electoral rolls in Udhagamandalam, reporting 5,47,133 voters.
