Panchkula voters must fill enumeration form by July 14 or risk removal from electoral roll
Panchkula voters must fill enumeration form by July 14

The district administration of Panchkula has issued an urgent appeal to all voters in the Panchkula Assembly constituency to complete and submit their enumeration forms by July 14. Failure to do so will result in the removal of their names from the electoral roll, officials warned.

SDM urges timely form submission

Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Chandrakant Kataria, presiding over a meeting at the Mini Secretariat to review the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) work, stressed the importance of meeting the deadline. He urged voters to seek assistance from their respective Booth Level Officers (BLOs) for filling out the forms. “Take help of the booth level officer concerned in filling the form so that the work of verification of voter list and digitisation can be completed,” Kataria said.

Digitization progress and new polling stations

Officials expressed concern over the slowing pace of work, as residents show waning interest. Approximately 62% of the digitization of the verified voter list for the Panchkula Assembly constituency has been completed. A proposal has been sent to the Election Commission to create four new polling stations in areas with more than 1,200 voters. In the neighboring Kalka constituency, 73% of digitization work is complete, and seven new polling stations have been proposed.

Voter verification process

During the SIR, voter verification will be carried out. This process will remove names of deceased individuals, permanently relocated voters, and duplicate entries from the electoral roll, in accordance with established rules. Following verification, polling stations in the Panchkula Assembly constituency will be rationalized based on the updated voter count.

Mohali district update

In Mohali district, 31.31% of digitization work has been completed so far. Notably, digitization has exceeded 90% at 11 polling booths, stands between 80-90% at seven booths, and has reached 100% at two polling booths.
