ADC Conducts Comprehensive Review of Civic Infrastructure in Naya Gaon
In a proactive move to bolster civic infrastructure and address critical water and sanitation concerns ahead of the impending summer season, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anmol Dhaliwal conducted an extensive inspection of ongoing development works in Naya Gaon on Thursday. The visit aimed to assess ground-level preparedness and ensure that residents face minimal inconvenience during the peak summer months.
Focus on Uninterrupted Water Supply and Scarcity Mitigation
During the review, ADC Dhaliwal explored the feasibility of installing six new tubewells to guarantee a consistent and uninterrupted supply of drinking water. This initiative is specifically designed to tackle the recurring issue of water scarcity that often plagues the region during summer. "All necessary steps should be taken in advance so that residents do not face any inconvenience during summer," he emphasized, directing concerned departments to accelerate the identification of suitable sites and complete the approval process promptly.
Progress Assessment of Sewage Treatment Plant
The ADC also meticulously reviewed the advancement of the new Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) currently under construction in Naya Gaon. Officials reported that the project is progressing as per schedule and is anticipated to be completed by the end of February. Stressing the significance of quality and adherence to timelines, ADC Dhaliwal stated, "The STP is a critical project for the area. Officers must ensure that quality standards are maintained and the work is completed within the stipulated timeframe."
Sanitation and Anti-Encroachment Directives
Taking stock of the sanitation scenario, the ADC issued strict instructions to Municipal Council staff to ensure regular garbage collection and uphold cleanliness across all localities of Naya Gaon. "Any negligence in sanitation will not be tolerated, and accountability must be fixed in case of lapses," he warned. Furthermore, he mandated the municipal authorities to launch an anti-encroachment drive, focusing particularly on illegal occupations of public land and roads. "Removal of encroachments is essential to improve traffic movement, hygiene and overall civic amenities," the ADC asserted.
Commitment to Enhanced Civic Facilities
Reiterating the district administration's dedication to improving basic infrastructure, ADC Dhaliwal highlighted that sustained efforts are underway to provide superior civic facilities to residents. He assured rigorous monitoring of all ongoing development projects to ensure their timely completion and effective implementation, thereby enhancing the quality of life in Naya Gaon.
