Gurgaon Sector 84 Road Pavement Project Inaugurated by Mayor Inderjeet Kaur Yadav
In a significant move to enhance local infrastructure, Manesar Mayor Inderjeet Kaur Yadav officially inaugurated the work to lay interlocking pavement block (IPB) tiles along both sides of a key road in Sector 84, Gurgaon, on Saturday. This project, with an estimated cost of Rs 60 lakh, aims to address long-standing issues faced by residents, particularly during the monsoon season.
Project Details and Scope
The pavement project covers a strategic stretch that connects several prominent residential societies, including Gurgaon One, Spaze Privy AT4, Devaan Pivotal, The Coralwood, and SS Almeria. Residents have repeatedly demanded this upgrade, citing problems with excessive dust and mud on the unpaved pathway, which creates daily inconveniences for commuters and pedestrians alike.
At the stone-laying ceremony, Mayor Yadav emphasized the civic body's commitment to improving basic infrastructure across the municipal area. She stated, "The doors of my home and office are open 24 hours for public welfare works. Residents won't have to make rounds of the office for any kind of work related to MCM, just inform me." This assurance highlights a proactive approach to addressing public grievances promptly.
Resident Feedback and Official Presence
Residents present at the event expressed relief, noting that they had previously raised the issue with the corporation to seek a paved pathway. The ceremony was attended by key officials, including Ward 19 councillor Ravi Yadav and executive engineer Mandeep Dhankhar, underscoring the collaborative effort behind this development initiative.
Broader Infrastructure Review
In related developments, senior deputy Mayor Praveen Yadav held a meeting with officials from the engineering wing of the Municipal Corporation of Manesar (MCM) on Thursday. The meeting focused on an in-depth review of ongoing development works, with a strong emphasis on completing civil projects before the monsoon season. Praveen Yadav stressed that priority should be given to wards where work on roads, drains, and drainage systems is underway to prevent public inconvenience during heavy rains.
This pavement project in Sector 84 is part of a larger effort by the MCM to boost urban amenities and ensure sustainable development in Gurgaon. By tackling infrastructure gaps, the civic body aims to enhance the quality of life for residents and promote smoother daily commutes in the area.
