The Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) is set to launch a special anti-encroachment drive across various sectors of Panchkula (Urban Estate) from June 1 to July 10. This initiative aims to clear illegal constructions and encroachments on government land in a phased manner, as per orders issued by the District Magistrate.
Phased Schedule for Encroachment Removal
The drive will be conducted in multiple phases targeting different sectors. From June 1 to 5, action will be taken in sectors 8, 9, 10, and 11. Subsequently, from June 8 to 12, sectors 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 31 will be covered. The next phase, from June 15 to 19, will focus on sectors 12, 12A, 15, 16, and 17. Sectors 2, 4, 6, and 7 will be addressed from June 22 to 26, followed by sectors 19, 20, and 21 from June 30 to July 3. The final phase, from July 6 to 10, will cover the MDC area.
Deployment of Officials and Law Enforcement
To ensure smooth execution, administrative and police officials have been deployed to remove illegal constructions and encroachments on HSVP land. Duty magistrates have been appointed for various areas to maintain law and order during the campaign. Additionally, the Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) of Panchkula and Kalka have been assigned the responsibility of monitoring and coordinating the drive in their respective jurisdictions.
Appeal to Residents
The district administration has appealed to residents to voluntarily remove any illegal occupation or encroachment on government land to avoid administrative action. This cooperative approach is expected to facilitate the drive and minimize disruptions.
The anti-encroachment campaign underscores the government's commitment to reclaiming public land and ensuring planned urban development in Panchkula.
