Jaipur Mobility Plan Feedback Deadline Extended to March 6
The state government of Rajasthan has announced a seven-day extension for residents to submit their suggestions on the Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) for Jaipur, pushing the new deadline to March 6. This decision comes after an overwhelming public response to the draft plan, which was made available for review earlier this month.
Overwhelming Public Participation Drives Extension
According to officials from the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), the agency responsible for the plan in collaboration with RITES, the public has submitted a huge number of suggestions since the draft was released. Many of these proposals have been deemed acceptable, prompting the extension to allow more time for input. "Since CMP has been made public for residents to view and submit opinions, they have received a huge number of suggestions, several being acceptable. Now, residents can send their suggestions by March 6 till 6pm," a JDA official stated.
Details of the Comprehensive Mobility Plan
The draft CMP outlines proposals for traffic-related infrastructure designed to cater to Jaipur's projected population of over 1 crore by 2055. Initially, the JDA set a deadline of June 26 for feedback, but this has been revised due to high demand. "This important draft aims to develop a smooth, safe, inclusive, and sustainable transportation system in the city. We are seeking suggestions and comments from the public, various stakeholders, experts, educational institutions, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), ensuring widespread public participation in the city's development. We have received requests from several residents and experts to increase deadline of the review process," an official added.
How to Access and Submit Feedback
The draft Comprehensive Mobility Plan is available for online viewing on the JDA's official website for the next seven days. Residents and organizations can submit their suggestions, comments, or objections via email to riip201019016492@rajasthan.in. This move underscores the government's commitment to inclusive urban planning and public engagement in shaping Jaipur's future transport network.
