Jharkhand CM Orders Clean Water Amid Heatwave

Ranchi: With several parts of the state reeling under an intense spell of heat, Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday directed officials to ensure clean drinking water facilities at all government establishments and public places for commuters and residents.

Directives to Officials

In a directive issued to deputy commissioners, superintendents of police, police station officers in-charge, block development officers and panchayat representatives, the CM asked authorities to immediately provide relief to those affected by the heat. He instructed officials to install drinking water points outside government offices and at crowded public locations, along with clear signage for public access.

“Public interest is paramount. During this spell of severe heat, the administration must work with sensitivity, promptness and a humanitarian approach,” Hemant wrote on X.
