Khattar seeks expanded rail facilities for Karnal station

Meeting at residence sparks development push

Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who represents Karnal in the Lok Sabha, met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at his residence in New Delhi on Tuesday to demand improved facilities at Karnal railway station. The station, established by the British in 1892, is one of the oldest in India and currently lacks several modern amenities.

Key demands: train stoppages and passenger facilities

Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand confirmed after the meeting that the railway station will soon receive stoppages for several important trains. Additionally, lifts and escalators will be installed to assist elderly passengers and women. Anand stated, "Our demands have been placed before the Railway Minister, who has assured us that they will be fulfilled."
