Kishan Reddy inspects Amrit Bharat station redevelopment

Hyderabad: Union Minister of Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy on Saturday inspected the progress of redevelopment works at Malakpet and Huppuguda railway stations under the Amrit Bharat scheme. He reviewed station building works, parking facilities, and the circulating area.

Budget Allocation and Infrastructure Growth

Kishan Reddy highlighted that the budget allocation for the united Andhra Pradesh in 2014-2015 was less than Rs 1,000 crore, whereas Rs 5,454 crore has been allocated for Telangana alone in 2026-27. He noted that infrastructure projects worth Rs 47,984 crore are underway, including new railway lines, doubling, tripling, bypass lines, electrification, and station redevelopment.

Kazipet Railway Manufacturing Unit

The minister stated that works at the Kazipet railway manufacturing unit are progressing well, with operations expected to commence by the end of this year. This facility is set to boost local manufacturing and employment.

New Station for Pilgrims

A new railway station near the temple town of Komuravelli is under construction and is expected to be inaugurated soon. This will provide convenient rail travel for pilgrims visiting the area.
