Hisar: Sirsa MP Kumari Selja on Wednesday directed officials in Fatehabad to accelerate development works and enhance civic amenities during a DISHA meeting held at the mini secretariat. She expressed strong displeasure over the functioning of the municipal council and the public health department, particularly concerning sanitation issues and incomplete civic projects.
Officials Face Scrutiny Over Delays
When municipal council officials cited pending court cases related to land disputes as reasons for delays, Selja questioned why completed projects were not being properly maintained and cleaned. She displayed recent photographs from her mobile phone to highlight the city's actual condition, emphasizing that providing basic civic facilities is the administration's primary responsibility.
Call for Accountability
Selja warned officials that negligence in essential services would not be tolerated. She stressed the need for immediate action to address sanitation gaps and ensure timely completion of pending projects. The MP's directive comes amid growing public concerns over deteriorating infrastructure in the region.
