Lucknow Faces Water Supply Disruption Over Weekend
The Jal Kal department of the Lucknow Municipal Corporation announced on Friday that water supply will be disrupted in several localities from Saturday to Monday. This disruption is due to scheduled cleaning and maintenance of overhead water tanks in Manasnagar, Krishnanagar, and Darogakheda.
Maintenance Schedule and Affected Areas
Officials provided a detailed schedule for the maintenance work. On Saturday, the overhead tank at Sector J in Manasnagar will undergo cleaning. This action will affect the evening water supply in Narayanpuri, Indrapuri, Indralok, Manasnagar, and adjoining areas.
On Sunday, maintenance work at the Krishnanagar overhead tank will disrupt evening water supply. The affected areas include Krishnanagar, Vijaynagar, Vinaynagar, Bajrangnagar, Manasnagar, Subhasnagar, Jafarkheda, Bholakheda, Ashutoshnagar, Tiwaripuram, Shivamnagar, and Vishnulok.
Similarly, on Monday, cleaning of the Darogakheda overhead tank will impact evening water supply in Darogakheda and Kanshiram Colony.
Department Clarifications and Advice for Residents
The Jal Kal department clarified that the disruption will be temporary. Normal water supply will be restored promptly after the maintenance work is completed.
Residents of the affected areas received specific advice to avoid inconvenience. They were advised to store sufficient drinking water from the morning supply. This proactive measure will help them manage during the evening disruptions.
The department emphasized that this maintenance is essential for ensuring clean and reliable water supply. Regular upkeep of overhead tanks helps prevent contamination and maintains water quality standards.
