Navi Mumbai Pre-Monsoon Work Deadline May 15

Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Kailas Shinde has issued a directive that all pre-monsoon works in the city must be completed by May 15. He urged all concerned authorities to coordinate effectively so that citizens do not face any problems during the monsoon season, and the system remains fully prepared for relief operations.

Review Meeting on Monsoon Preparedness

A review meeting was recently held under the city disaster management committee, with participation from various government agencies. During the meeting, a decision was taken to ensure that all monsoon-related work is finished within the stipulated timeframe. Officials provided case-by-case updates on essential tasks, and Shinde instructed them to expedite the work.

Priority on Drain and Sewer Cleaning

Special emphasis was placed on cleaning drains and large sewers. Shinde directed that silt removed from drain and sewer banks should be cleared immediately after it dries, to minimize inconvenience to residents. This measure aims to prevent blockages and waterlogging during heavy rainfall.
