Woman dies after falling from Bobcat at Juhu Beach

A 55-year-old woman contract worker lost her life at Juhu Beach on Friday morning after allegedly falling from the bucket of a Bobcat machine and being run over. The Santacruz police have registered a case against the machine's driver for allegedly causing death by negligence. Both the deceased and the driver were contract workers engaged in civic duties.

Incident Details

According to police, the incident occurred around 10 am on Friday. The deceased, identified as Angamma Devendra, resided in Juhu's Nehru Nagar locality and worked as a contract worker for the Pratishthan organisation. She had gone to Juhu Beach with other workers for a cleaning drive.

Police stated that Devendra and approximately five to six other workers were seated in the bucket of the Bobcat while the driver was moving them to another location on the beach. While the machine was in motion, it reportedly went into a pit, causing Angamma Devendra to lose her balance and fall. She then came under the machine's left wheel and sustained fatal injuries.
