Noida Sector 71 Residents Protest Poor Sanitation, Demand Immediate Action
Residents of Sector 71 in Noida have raised serious concerns about deteriorating sanitation conditions on sector roads, with particular focus on the area surrounding Shiv Shakti Apartments. The locality, home to approximately 6,000 residents, is reportedly littered with dry leaves, grass clippings, and various horticultural waste materials that have remained unattended for multiple days.
Health Hazards and Environmental Concerns
Jagdeesh Yadav Jagga, President of the Shiv Shakti Apartments Residents Welfare Association (RWA), expressed grave concern about the situation. "The state of our sector is completely unacceptable," Jagga stated emphatically. "These garbage piles are not merely an eyesore—they are scattered everywhere and have now evolved into a significant health hazard due to the proliferation of mosquitoes in the area."
Local residents confirmed that piles of dry horticultural waste combined with accumulated dust are severely cluttering their living environment. Despite numerous complaints filed with sanitation workers and repeated requests from the RWA, there has been minimal to no action taken to address the growing sanitation crisis.
Call for Official Intervention
Jagga has formally called upon health department officials to intervene in the matter. He specifically requested the replacement of the current contractor and sanitation workers who have allegedly failed to perform their designated duties. "We urgently request immediate cleaning operations in our area so that women, children, and families living here can finally find relief from the filth that surrounds them daily," Jagga appealed.
Echoing these concerns, Pawan Yadav, Treasurer of the Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations (FONRWA), urged health authorities to take immediate notice. "Our Noida city has earned recognition for its cleanliness standards, not for neglect and filth," Yadav emphasized. "It is absolutely crucial that authority officials acknowledge this problem and provide a necessary resolution without further delay."

When questioned about the sanitation issues, Noida Authority officials acknowledged the complaints and assured that necessary action would be taken against errant workers. They committed to ensuring proper cleanliness standards would be restored in Sector 71 through appropriate measures and oversight.
