TTD Trust Board Set to Approve Budget and Digital Donation Initiatives

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust board, under the leadership of chairman BR Naidu, is poised to formally approve the budgetary estimates for the fiscal year 2026-27 during its meeting scheduled for Saturday. This significant financial planning session will take place at Tirumala, marking a crucial step in the temple trust's administrative calendar.

Srivari Mudupu Pathram: A Revolutionary Cashless Donation System

In a landmark move, the Tirupati trust will also grant formal approval to the Srivari Mudupu Pathram scheme, an innovative initiative designed to modernize the donation process at the world-renowned Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple. This first-of-its-kind system aims to encourage cashless donations while preserving the devotional sentiments associated with physically offering contributions at the sacred Srivari Hundi.

Under this new scheme, devotees visiting Tirumala will be able to make digital payments through various modes compliant with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations. Upon payment, they will receive a Srivari Mudupu Pathram—a token or certificate of equal denomination to their donation. This document can be carried into the Srivari temple during darshan and dropped into the Srivari Hundi, allowing devotees to fulfill their vows seamlessly.

TTD authorities emphasize that the Srivari Mudupu Pathram platform addresses the challenges of the digital age by eliminating the hassles and risks of carrying cash to Tirumala. Once a devotee deposits the Mudupu Pathram into the Hundi, their donation is officially recorded during the Parakamani Hundi counting exercise, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Simplified Annaprasadam Donation Scheme and Other Resolutions

Additionally, the TTD trust will formally approve a more streamlined Annaprasadam donation scheme. This initiative enables devotees to make contributions in smaller denominations that align with their financial capacity. Donors can specify their preferred number of beneficiaries and select dates for the donations to be utilized at Tirumala, all in a hassle-free manner.

The trust board meeting on Saturday is expected to pass several other key resolutions, further enhancing the operational efficiency and devotional experiences at the temple complex. These decisions reflect TTD's commitment to integrating modern technology with traditional practices, ensuring that the spiritual heritage of Tirumala remains accessible and secure for millions of devotees worldwide.
