ICAR Kanpur Workshop Focuses on Kisan Sarathi 2.0 for Agricultural Advancement
A significant one-day awareness and sensitization workshop dedicated to the Kisan Sarathi 2.0 platform was successfully conducted at the ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI), Zone-III, in Kanpur. This event was organized in collaboration with the ICAR-Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute (IASRI) from New Delhi, marking a concerted effort to enhance digital integration in agriculture.
Workshop Objectives and Participation
The primary goal of the workshop was to provide comprehensive technical training to scientists from Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), equipping them with the skills necessary for the effective utilization of the Kisan Sarathi platform. More than 100 participants actively engaged in the sessions, reflecting a strong commitment to advancing agricultural technology.

The program was inaugurated by the Director of ATARI, Kanpur, setting the stage for a day of learning and collaboration. The chief guest, Sanjay Singh, Director General of the Uttar Pradesh Council of Agricultural Research (UPCAR) in Lucknow, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the transformative role of digital technologies in agriculture.
He highlighted that digital tools can significantly increase farmers' income and productivity, underscoring the importance of platforms like Kisan Sarathi. Singh also stressed the necessity of conducting impact analyses to evaluate the actual benefits farmers receive from such digital interventions, ensuring that the technology delivers tangible improvements in their livelihoods.

During the technical sessions, attendees received a detailed demonstration of the Kisan Sarathi mobile application, showcasing its features and functionalities.
