Family Tragedy in Hindaun: Three Killed, One Critical in Tractor-Trolley Collision
A devastating road accident in Hindaun City has claimed the lives of three members of a single family and left a fourth relative fighting for his life. The incident occurred late on Sunday evening when a speeding tractor-trolley collided with a motorcycle carrying four people.
Details of the Fatal Crash
The collision took place in the Sadar police station area of Hindaun City. According to police reports, the family was returning to their home in Alipura after having dinner at a roadside dhaba in Panbheda village. The tractor-trolley, which was traveling at high speed, struck their motorcycle, causing severe injuries to all four riders.
The deceased have been identified as:
- Yashvendra Jatav, 50 years old
- Gaurav Jatav, 13 years old, son of Yashvendra
- Dharmendra Jatav, 25 years old, son-in-law of Yashvendra
All three victims were residents of Alipura and nearby areas. The critically injured survivor is Munim Jatav, Yashvendra's nephew from Panbheda village.
Police Response and Investigation
Senior police officers from the Sadar Hindaun City police station confirmed that the tractor-trolley was seized at the scene, but the driver managed to flee immediately after the accident. A search operation has been launched to trace and arrest the absconding driver.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Munesh Kumar Meena and Station House Officer Chaudhary personally visited the accident site to oversee the investigation. The injured were rushed to the district hospital in Hindaun, where doctors declared Yashvendra, Gaurav, and Dharmendra dead upon arrival. Munim remains hospitalized and is undergoing treatment for his critical injuries.
Family Background and Legal Action
Police revealed that Yashvendra and Dharmendra worked as laborers. In a heartbreaking detail, Dharmendra had married Yashvendra's daughter, Rachna, on April 29, 2025, making this tragedy particularly poignant for the newlywed couple and their extended family.
The bodies were handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination was conducted on Monday. Authorities have registered a case against the unidentified driver under sections related to causing death due to negligence. The investigation into the exact circumstances of the crash is ongoing, with police examining all available evidence from the scene.
