Three Arrested After Viral Video Shows Man on Bolero Bonnet

Gurugram Police have arrested three scrap dealers for performing a dangerous stunt on the bonnet of a moving Mahindra Bolero on MG Road. The accused, identified as Aniket (24), Akash (26), and Ved Prakash (19), all residents of Khatikaan Bas Mohalla in Mahendragarh, Haryana, were taken into custody by a team from the MG Road police chowki.

The incident came to light after a video showing a young man sitting on the bonnet of a moving black Mahindra Bolero on the service lane opposite Sahara Mall went viral on social media. The stunt was performed while other vehicles and pedestrians were using the road, posing a serious threat to public safety.

Police Action Based on Viral Video

Taking cognisance of the viral video, Gurugram Police registered an FIR at the Sector 29 police station. During the investigation, a team from the MG Road police chowki arrested the three accused. The vehicle, which had been borrowed by the accused, has also been seized.

“We are questioning the accused who had borrowed someone’s vehicle. All three used to work as scrap dealers. A further probe is underway,” said Inspector Satyendra Singh, SHO of Sector 29 police station.

Police Appeal for Road Safety

A Gurugram Police spokesperson said the police are continuously monitoring videos circulating on social media as well as complaints received from the public. Those found violating traffic rules or endangering public safety will be identified and strict legal action will be taken against them in accordance with the law.

The spokesperson appealed to citizens to drive responsibly and follow traffic rules to ensure their own safety as well as that of other road users.
