A horrific road accident in Haryana's Jhajjar district on Monday resulted in the tragic deaths of five individuals. The fatal incident occurred when a heavily loaded truck overturned and crushed a moving car, killing all occupants instantly.
Sequence of a Deadly Collision
The accident took place on the busy Bahadurgarh-Jhajjar road near the village of Kheri Sadh. According to police reports, a truck carrying a full load of construction material was traveling towards Bahadurgarh. For reasons still under investigation, the driver reportedly lost control of the massive vehicle.
The truck first collided with the central divider before completely overturning. At that precise moment, a white Hyundai i10 car was passing alongside. The falling truck landed directly on top of the smaller vehicle, crushing it completely under the immense weight.
Immediate Aftermath and Rescue Efforts
Local residents and passersby rushed to the scene upon hearing the tremendous crash. The sight was devastating; the car was flattened beneath the truck's cargo. Emergency services were alerted immediately.
Police and rescue teams from Jhajjar and Bahadurgarh reached the spot promptly. Using heavy machinery, they worked to lift the truck and extricate the victims from the mangled wreckage of the car. All five men inside the car were pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver, however, managed to escape with minor injuries and was taken into custody by the police.

The police have identified the deceased, all residents of a single village. The victims are Satish (30), Pradeep (28), Mandeep (25), Dharamvir (23), and Rahul (22). Their bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.
Authorities have registered a case at the Jhajjar Sadar police station and launched a detailed investigation. Initial focus is on determining the exact cause of the truck driver losing control. Investigators are examining factors like mechanical failure, driver negligence, speeding, or road conditions. The truck has been seized for technical inspection.
