In a swift police action, seven individuals have been arrested in connection with the alleged gang-rape of a 40-year-old widow in Jharkhand's Pakur district. The traumatic incident occurred late on Tuesday night near a mango orchard, sending shockwaves through the Dumka region.

Pakur Superintendent of Police Nidhi Dwivedi informed media that upon receiving critical information, personnel from the tiger mobile unit quickly reached the spot. Their prompt action led to the rescue of the survivor, who courageously narrated her horrific ordeal to the officers.
Following the initial response, authorities demonstrated serious intent by forming a Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by DSP Ajay Aryan. This dedicated team launched a thorough investigation into the case, which resulted in the successful identification and apprehension of the seven accused.
