A notorious history-sheeter from Chennai, wanted in more than 30 criminal cases, was finally apprehended by a special police team in the neighbouring state of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday. The arrest ends a prolonged manhunt for the 41-year-old accused.

The arrested individual, identified as Ambedkar, a resident of Kannigapuram in Pulianthope, is classified as an A-plus category rowdy. Police records indicate he has been a close associate of another known criminal, Ennore Dhanasekaran, for over 15 years.

The charges against him are grave, encompassing serious offences like murder and robbery. - Three knives.
- A car allegedly used for smuggling activities.
