Dakshina Kannada Police Externs Accused with Multiple Criminal Cases to Chikkamagaluru
Accused with 3 criminal cases externed from Dakshina Kannada

In a significant move to maintain public order, the Mangaluru police have externed a man with multiple criminal cases from Dakshina Kannada district. The individual has been relocated to a different jurisdiction under a formal externment directive.

Who is the Externed Individual?

The order targets Abdul Khader, also known as Shoukath, who is a resident of Vittal Kasaba village in Bantwal taluk. His residence falls under the legal purview of the Vittal police station. According to official records, Khader has a history of criminal involvement, with three separate cases registered against him.

The charges leveled against him are serious in nature. The police have documented cases under sections related to assault, rioting, and violations of the NDPS Act (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act).

The Legal Process Behind the Externment

The action was initiated based on a comprehensive report submitted by the Vittal police. After reviewing the report and the perceived threat to local peace, the Assistant Commissioner and Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Mangaluru issued the formal externment order.

This legal directive mandates that Abdul Khader must leave Dakshina Kannada district. He has been specifically ordered to reside within the jurisdiction of the Mudigere police station in the neighbouring Chikkamagaluru district.

Order Executed, Accused Relocated

The police executed the order promptly. On Thursday, law enforcement officials safely escorted Abdul Khader from Dakshina Kannada. He was formally handed over to the authorities at the Mudigere police station, thereby completing the externment process as per the magistrate's directive.

Such externment orders are often used by police forces as a preventive measure. They aim to disrupt the activities of individuals with a history of disturbing public tranquility by physically removing them from their familiar operational area for a specified period.
