A horrific family tragedy has shaken the city of Agra, where a 32-year-old house painter allegedly murdered his wife, poisoned his two infant sons, and then committed suicide. The incident, which occurred in a locked room, has left the entire neighborhood in a state of profound shock and grief.

Police discovered the bodies of Irshad Ahmed, his 25-year-old wife Naurine, and their two young sons—Ahil (2 years) and Aksha (6 months)—on Tuesday morning. According to preliminary investigations, the tragedy stemmed from a heated argument over a financial matter related to the Islamic festival of Eid.
Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Verma stated, "Prima facie, Irshad had a serious argument with his wife Naurine after he gave 'eidi'—a traditional gift during Eid—to his married sister without informing her. This appears to be the trigger for the subsequent events."
Investigation and Forensic Evidence
Forensic experts and a dog squad were immediately dispatched to the scene to collect evidence. The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination to determine the exact causes of death.
An officer familiar with the case revealed, "No major injury marks were found on their bodies. However, foam was visible on the mouths of the children, which strongly raises suspicion of poisoning. We are now awaiting the postmortem report for conclusive findings."

Inam elaborated, "Irshad had earlier given Rs 1,500 as 'eidi' to his sister, whose child was unwell. However, his wife Naurine objected to this gesture, leading to significant tension within the household."
