Agra Woman Arrested for Alleged Murder of Relative Over Blackmail with Intimate Videos
In a shocking incident in Agra, a 29-year-old woman was arrested on Saturday for allegedly murdering a 36-year-old relative in a hotel room. The victim, identified as Khillon Singh, was reportedly bludgeoned with a hammer and had his throat slit. The accused, Preeti Singh, a homemaker with two children, then walked up to hotel staff and confessed to the killing.
Details of the Crime and Motive
Police investigations revealed that Preeti Singh and Khillon Singh checked into the hotel around 11 am, with the incident occurring approximately at 12:30 pm. During questioning, Preeti claimed that Khillon, who worked at a factory in the National Capital Region (NCR), had intimate videos of her and had been blackmailing her for nearly two-and-a-half years.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Saiyan Sukanya Sharma stated, "We found that both were relatives. Singh said the deceased, who was unmarried, had her intimate videos and was forcing her into a relationship for nearly 2.5 years. She claimed he had threatened to share the videos with her husband if she resisted."
Police Investigation and Forensic Analysis
The crime scene was described as gruesome, with blood splattered across the hotel room. Authorities have sent the mobile phones of both Preeti Singh and Khillon Singh for forensic analysis to gather further evidence. An FIR has been registered at the Malpura police station under BNS section 103(1), which deals with murder charges.
