A distressing incident has shaken the Chandkheda area of Ahmedabad, where a 14-year-old girl has gone missing from her residence under suspicious circumstances. The Chandkheda police have registered a case of kidnapping against an unknown person and launched a full-scale investigation to trace the minor.
Timeline of the Disappearance
The incident occurred on the morning of December 23. The girl, a Class 10 student at a private school in Chandkheda, was alone at home after her parents left for work and her siblings went to school. Her mother works as a sanitation worker in the Ranip area, while her father is engaged in odd jobs.
According to the complaint filed by the worried mother, she spoke to her daughter on the phone around 11 am. However, upon returning home for lunch at approximately 1 pm, she found the house locked from outside. The girl's mobile phone was switched off, raising immediate alarm.
Search Efforts and Police Complaint
Upon inquiry, neighbours revealed a crucial detail. Around 11:30 am, the girl had handed over her house keys to a neighbour and left, stating she was going somewhere. Using a spare key, the parents entered their home and began a frantic search.
They scoured nearby areas, visited relatives, and checked every possible location they could think of, but found no trace of their daughter. With all efforts proving futile, the family approached the Chandkheda police station and filed a formal complaint on Wednesday. The mother expressed suspicion that her daughter may have been lured and kidnapped by an unidentified person.
Investigation and Identification Details
The Chandkheda police have taken the case seriously and registered a kidnapping case under relevant sections. To aid in the search and identification, the family has submitted copies of the girl's Aadhaar card and school documents to the authorities.
A description of the missing minor has been circulated. She is approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, has a medium build and a wheatish complexion. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly wearing a black top and blue jeans and was carrying a mobile phone.
