A disturbing video has gone viral on social media, capturing two men transporting the body of a murder victim on a scooter before dumping it in an isolated area. The incident has prompted swift action from the Amritsar police, who have arrested one suspect in connection with the crime.

Victim Identified

The deceased has been identified as Saurav, a resident of the Guru Nanak Pura area. His body was recovered on May 28 within the jurisdiction of the Kot Khalsa–Islamabad police station, a day after he was reported missing. Saurav's mother, who identified her son by the clothes visible in the viral video, has alleged that he was strangled by his friends. Saurav was the only brother to four sisters, leaving the family devastated by the loss.

Police Investigation

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Central) Surinderpal Singh stated that an FIR was registered based on a statement from the victim's sister. Following the registration of the case, one accused has been arrested. The body was handed over to the family after a postmortem examination was conducted. Further investigations are underway to apprehend the second suspect seen in the video.
