A horrific incident of domestic violence has shaken the New Basti area of Bokaro, where a 32-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her own husband while she was asleep. The tragic event occurred on Saturday night, sending shockwaves through the local community.

Drunken Rage Leads to Tragedy

According to neighbors and police reports, the accused Rupesh Yadav frequently returned home in an intoxicated state and would physically assault his wife, Jhalwa Devi. The situation reached its devastating climax when he used a sharp-edged weapon to kill her as she slept in their New Basti home.

The couple's three young children, aged just 7, 4, and 1.5 years, were present in the house during this brutal attack. The murder came to light in the early hours of Sunday morning when family members went to wake Jhalwa and made the gruesome discovery of her lifeless body lying in a pool of blood.

Police Action and Investigation

Officer in-charge Pinku Kumar Yadav from Bokaro Thermal Police Station confirmed that immediate action was taken following the discovery. The accused husband has been taken into custody and is facing serious charges.

The police have seized the weapon believed to be used in the crime and sent it for forensic examination to gather crucial evidence. A formal case of murder has been registered under the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita), and Jhalwa Devi's body has been sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
