A significant theft has shaken the Tatari area under Bokaro's Balidih Police Station jurisdiction. The incident occurred at the residence of Suchendra Mishra, whose family was away attending a wedding ceremony. Taking full advantage of the empty house, unidentified thieves executed a well-planned burglary, making off with a substantial amount of cash and valuable jewellery.
House Ransacked, Valuables Worth Lakhs Missing
Upon returning home, the Mishra family was met with a scene of devastation. They discovered their entire house had been thoroughly ransacked. Suchendra Mishra stated that the intruders had forcibly opened cupboards and drawers, leaving nothing of value behind. The family's initial assessment points to a loss estimated to be in lakhs of rupees, though the police are yet to complete an official valuation of the stolen items.
Police Launch Multi-Pronged Investigation
Responding to the seriousness of the crime, the Balidih Police have initiated a detailed investigation. Investigating officer Anand Azad Singh confirmed that advanced investigative techniques are being employed. A dog squad was immediately deployed to the scene in an attempt to trace the suspects' trail. Simultaneously, a forensic team meticulously collected crucial evidence, including fingerprints and footprints, from the premises to identify the culprits.
The police are exploring all angles and are likely to question neighbours and review local CCTV footage. The case highlights the vulnerability of homes left unattended during social gatherings and festivals, a pattern criminals often exploit. Authorities have advised residents to ensure proper security measures when leaving their houses vacant for extended periods.
