Two Men Receive Lengthy Prison Terms for Vicious Taxi Assault in Bradford
In a shocking case of street violence, two men have been handed substantial prison sentences for the attempted murder of an 18-year-old victim who was shot and repeatedly stabbed while seated in a taxi in Bradford. The brutal attack, which occurred in March 2025 on Dovedale Road, has drawn strong condemnation from law enforcement and the community.
Details of the Violent Incident
According to court proceedings, Harris Mohammed, aged 24, and Riccardo Nadim, aged 20, executed a coordinated assault on the parked taxi. Prosecutors described their approach as a "pincer movement," with Mohammed firing two shots into the victim's face from one side while Nadim stabbed him from the opposite side of the vehicle. The victim sustained severe injuries to his face, right arm, and back, necessitating hospitalization.
Sentencing and Legal Outcomes
Following a trial, both perpetrators were found guilty of attempted murder. Mohammed, residing on Carbottom Road in Bradford, received a sentence of 30 years in prison. Nadim, from Tarnside Drive in Leeds, was sentenced to 28 years. Additionally, they were convicted of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.
A third individual, 20-year-old Davian Lewis of Paley Road in Bradford, was sentenced to two years and six months for assisting an offender. The victim, who chose not to cooperate with the investigation initially, has since made a full recovery, as confirmed by West Yorkshire Police.

Detective Inspector Suzanne Hall of West Yorkshire Police emphasized the severity of the incident, stating, "This was a shocking incident that left a man seriously injured in the middle of the street, and it understandably caused fear and concern within the community." She added that the sentences serve as a clear warning that those who engage in firearm and weapon-related violence will be pursued and prosecuted.
