A man employed in the bullet train project was allegedly drugged and robbed of his valuables at the railway station in Vadodara, Gujarat. The incident came to light after the victim, Nitish Yadav, a resident of Bihar, filed a complaint with the Government Railway Police (GRP).
How the Incident Unfolded
According to the complaint, Yadav was waiting for his train on Wednesday when a man approached him, introduced himself as Jay Tiwari, and initiated a conversation. The accused managed to gain Yadav's trust and later persuaded him to accompany him for a meal. After eating, the accused took Yadav to a nearby hotel room under the pretext of freshening up.
Once inside the room, the accused offered Yadav tea. Shortly after consuming the tea, Yadav began to feel dizzy and eventually lost consciousness. When he regained his senses several hours later, he found himself back at the railway station. Upon checking his belongings, he discovered that his gold chain, mobile phone, and cash were missing.
Police Investigation
The GRP has registered a case based on Yadav's complaint and launched an investigation to trace the accused. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the station and the hotel, and are questioning potential witnesses. Further updates are awaited as the probe continues.
