The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has uncovered an alleged corruption ring operating within the Punjab Vigilance Bureau, resulting in the arrest of three individuals. According to the agency, the group was involved in soliciting illegal payments from citizens in exchange for 'settling' formal complaints that were pending with the office of the Director General of Vigilance.

The accused have been identified as Vikas Goyal, his son Raghav Goyal, and their associate Ankit Wadhwa. They are accused of acting as intermediaries in a corruption network that connected citizens with senior government officials. The CBI has stated that the trio would demand bribes to ensure that complaints were either closed or manipulated in favor of the complainants.
Key Accused at Large
OP Rana, who served as the reader to the Director General of Vigilance, is also implicated in the case but remains at large. Authorities are conducting a manhunt to apprehend him. The CBI has not ruled out the possibility of more arrests as the investigation progresses.
