PGIMER Employee Loses Car and Crucial Documents
One of the affected car owners is Gaurav Kaavra, a 28-year-old staff member at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER). In his statement to the police, Kaavra revealed that he had parked his car safely on Sunday evening. He discovered the disaster hours later when he woke up during the night.
"I went to the parking area to check on my vehicle and saw that it, along with a Maruti Swift parked nearby, was on fire," Kaavra told the police. Although a fire tender reached the spot promptly and managed to control the blaze, the damage was already done. Kaavra's vehicle was declared a total loss. More devastatingly, he reported that all his personal and professional documents, which were stored inside the car, were reduced to ashes in the intense fire.
