Notorious Delhi Criminal Gunned Down Near Gurgaon Toll Plaza

Police discovered a 34-year-old man with multiple criminal cases shot dead near the Kherki Daula toll plaza in Gurgaon on Tuesday evening. The victim, identified as Manoj Ojha from Chhatarpur, was found inside a Bolero vehicle with a gunshot wound.

Victim Had Extensive Criminal Record

Manoj Ojha faced sixteen criminal cases in Delhi, including serious charges like murder, attempt to murder, dacoity, robbery, and theft. He had been convicted in two of these cases and was released on bail in June 2025 after serving a prison term. Senior police officials confirmed Ojha was a known history-sheeter with a long criminal record.

Police Response and Investigation Details

Officers from the Kherki Daula police station rushed to the scene after receiving information about the shooting. They found Ojha injured in the Bolero and immediately transported him to Medanta Hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

During their examination of the vehicle at the scene, police recovered two loaded pistols. Scene-of-crime teams, forensic science laboratory experts, and fingerprint specialists have all inspected the location and the vehicle.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and the family has been informed about the incident. Police are actively working to trace the assailants and determine the exact sequence of events, the precise location of the shooting, and the motive behind this violent act.

Previous Incident at Same Location

This is not the first violent incident at the Kherki Daula toll plaza. In November last year, a 45-year-old real estate dealer from Rajasthan named Mubin Khan was crushed to death by a gravel-laden truck and dragged for nearly 200 meters. Khan was on his way to drop a friend at Indira Gandhi International Airport for a 9 am flight when the tragic accident occurred around 4:30 am.

The Gurgaon police continue their investigation into the shooting of Manoj Ojha, focusing on gathering evidence and identifying those responsible for this crime.
