Violent Confrontation in South East Delhi Leaves One Dead
Police in Delhi reported a tragic incident late Thursday night in the Jaitpur area. A clash between two groups turned deadly, resulting in one fatality and two injuries. Authorities have taken eight individuals into custody following the violent altercation.
Late-Night Emergency Call Leads to Gruesome Discovery
Officers received a distress call through the Police Control Room around 11:18 PM. The call alerted them to trouble on Dharamshala Road in the Mithapur locality of South East Delhi. Responding personnel arrived swiftly at the scene.
They discovered three young men suffering from serious stab wounds. All three victims required immediate medical attention. Emergency services transported them to the AIIMS Trauma Center without delay.
Medical staff pronounced twenty-one-year-old Krishna Sahu dead upon arrival. The other two victims, identified as Sunny (21) and Prince (19), received urgent treatment for their injuries. Both young men remain under medical care.
Social Media Dispute Sparks Physical Confrontation
Deputy Commissioner of Police Hemant Tiwari provided details about the incident's origins. He stated that preliminary investigations revealed a social media conflict preceded the physical violence.
The main suspect, Deepak, allegedly harassed Prince online before the attack. Both groups arranged a meeting under the guise of reconciliation around 11 PM. What began as a verbal argument quickly escalated into a brutal knife attack.
During the chaotic scuffle, Krishna Sahu sustained multiple stab wounds to his chest, shoulder, and back. Sunny suffered injuries to his abdomen and thigh. Prince received minor injuries during the confrontation.
Police Launch Immediate Investigation and Arrests
Law enforcement officers from Jaitpur police station responded promptly. They collaborated with the district crime team to secure the crime scene. Investigators collected forensic evidence and reviewed available CCTV footage from the area.
Police used technical surveillance and local intelligence to identify suspects. They arrested three adults: Deepak Kumar, Ashish (24), and Neeraj Kumar. Authorities allege Deepak initiated the confrontation, Ashish carried a sharp weapon, and Neeraj helped coordinate the gathering.
Officers also apprehended five minors connected to the assault. These juveniles will appear before the Juvenile Justice Board. Police recovered several crucial pieces of evidence from the suspects.
